Leandro Erlich nació en Argentina en 1973 y vive y trabaja entre París, Buenos Aires y Montevideo. A lo largo de las últimas dos décadas, su obra ha sido exhibida internacionalmente y forma parte de colecciones permanentes en prestigiosos museos y colecciones privadas, entre ellos el Museo de Arte Moderno de Buenos Aires; The Museum of Fine Arts, Houston; Tate Modern, Londres; Musée National d’Art Moderne – Centre Georges Pompidou, París; 21st Century Museum of Contemporary Art, Kanazawa, Japón; MACRO, Roma; y el Museo de Israel, entre otras instituciones de relevancia cultural.
Erlich ha desarrollado impactantes obras públicas, como La Democracia del Símbolo, en el Obelisco de Buenos Aires y el Museo MALBA; Maison Fond, creada para la Conferencia de la ONU sobre el Cambio Climático en París; Bâtiment, en la Nuit Blanche de París; Ball Game, para los Juegos Olímpicos de la Juventud en Buenos Aires; Port of Reflections, exhibida en el MMCA de Seúl; y Palimpsest, para la Trienal de Arte de Echigo-Tsumari en
Japón. Su obra monumental La Carte, À l’ombre de la ville es parte permanente del paisaje urbano de Burdeos, Francia.
En los últimos años, ha presentado exposiciones individuales en instituciones de renombre como el Mori Art Museum de Tokio, el Palazzo Reale de Milán, el Kunstmuseum de Wolfsburg, el CAFA Art Museum de Pekín, el MALBA de Buenos Aires, el CCBB en diversas ciudades de Brasil y el PAMM de Miami, alcanzando en varias de ellas récords de visitantes.
Recientemente, ha participado en exposiciones colectivas en el Centre Pompidou-Metz, el Forest Festival of the Arts en Okayama, Japón, el Ennova Art Museum y el Nanhai Art Center en China.
Como artista conceptual, su trabajo cuestiona las bases de nuestra percepción de la realidad y explora la capacidad del arte para generar interrogantes desde una perspectiva visual. Su obra busca reducir la distancia entre el espacio del museo o la galería y las experiencias cotidianas, invitando al espectador a una participación activa en la construcción del significado.

Leandro Erlich was born in Argentina in 1973 and lives and works between Paris, Buenos Aires, and Montevideo. Over the past two decades, his work has been exhibited internationally and is part of the permanent collections of prestigious museums and private collections, including the Museo de Arte Moderno de Buenos Aires; The Museum of Fine Arts, Houston; Tate Modern, London; Musée National d’Art Moderne – Centre Georges Pompidou, Paris; 21st Century Museum of Contemporary Art, Kanazawa, Japan; MACRO, Rome; and the Israel Museum, among other culturally significant institutions.
Erlich has developed striking public works, such as La Democracia del Símbolo at the Obelisco of Buenos Aires and the MALBA Museum; Maison Fond, created for the UN Climate Change Conference in Paris; Bâtiment, for the Nuit Blanche in Paris; Ball Game, for the Youth Olympic Games in Buenos Aires; Port of Reflections, exhibited at the MMCA in Seoul; and Palimpsest, for the Echigo Tsumari Art Triennial in Japan. His monumental work La Carte, À l’ombre de la ville is a permanent part of the urban landscape of Bordeaux, France.
In recent years, he has held solo exhibitions at renowned institutions such as the Mori Art Museum in Tokyo, the Palazzo Reale in Milan, the Kunstmuseum in Wolfsburg, the CAFA Art Museum in Beijing, the MALBA in Buenos Aires, the CCBB in various cities across Brazil, and the PAMM in Miami, achieving record attendance at several of them.
